The Bedrooms
Sayle House is a family-owned and run boutique bed & breakfast in a quiet cul-de-sac, and a leisurely 15 minute walk to the historic Cambridge City Centre. Close by there is an excellent choice of wonderful restaurants and pubs so an enjoyable evening out is only a few minutes’ walk away.
The house, in a highly favoured Cambridge street, is a substantial detached Edwardian villa, built in 1907. It retains numerous period features including stained glass windows, fireplaces, original plaster coving and picture rails.
There are just three guest rooms which means that you will receive a warm, friendly and personal welcome. The three guest rooms are all on the first floor, accessed by a wide easy staircase leading from the large traditional hall. The staircase is a focal point of the house incorporating a stunning stairwell open to all three floors of the house. Each of the bedrooms is en suite and the bathrooms all have underfloor heating and illuminated demisting mirrors with shaver sockets.
Allium Room
A spacious, restful room with a very large en suite bathroom including a bateau bath and a large shower. The Allium, with a superking size bed, is a pretty and sumptuous room with an elegant bay window overlooking the garden.
Willow Room
Willow is the smallest of the three rooms but still offers a king size bed. It is well appointed and comfortable with an en suite shower room.The Willow is a tranquil room overlooking the secluded garden at the rear of the house.
